The latest issue of Stick and String Magazine is now available and I am both proud and sincerely humbled to say that I was a contributor to the Summer 2012 edition of this fine magazine. There are some really great writers contributing to this publication and I must say, each one I have had the pleasure of interacting with have been outstanding individuals as well.
There are so many great articles in the 3rd edition including build alongs and how to guides. There were several that really caught my attention one was a fine read by my buddy Nick Viau from “Life and Longbows” detailing his experience building a hickory flatbow, in another Dave Puzon from “The Archer’s Point of View” wrote from the heart on why he chooses to shoot traditional equipment. My article for “Summer 2012” was a reflection on the geek that still lives inside me, providing information on how my smart phone has become one of my hunting tools.
If you have not had the opportunity to read Stick and String, I highly recommend that you do. You may read online or download as a PDF for free. There is also a print subscription for $29.95 that is well worth the investment if you are like me and prefer to read a hard copy as opposed to reading on the computer screen. While you are at it, go ahead and check out the website as well at stickandstring.com with forums, podcasts and much more I think you will find Stick and String to be one of the best resources on the web for Traditional Archery related information.
Now I have to go start figuring out what I will be writing about for the Fall Edition. Until then enjoy your Summer and may all your arrows find their mark!
